New Delhi: In the middle of fight between the father Mulayam Singh Yadav and the son Akhilesh Yadav, elder and veteran Samajwadi Party leaders are doing everything they can to calm the matter in the poll-bound state of Uttar Pradesh.

Leaders like Beni Prasad Verma and Rewati Raman Singh are in constant touch with both Mulayam and Akhilesh. Rewati has said that within two days the matter will be solved.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has summoned a meeting of party legislatures on Sunday at his residence.

The meeting already started at 10 am and those supporting Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal Yadav, are taking part in the meeting. In UP, there are total 228 MLAs, plus MLCs of Samajwadi party (SP).

Mulayam Singh may also call a separate meeting of party legislatures on Monday.

Adding fire to the fuel, the relative of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Ram Gopal Yadav has criticised those who are against Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, in a letter written to the Samajwadi Party workers.

In the letter, supporter of the CM, Ram Gopal has warned that those against Akhilesh Yadav will not be able to see the face of Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly).

Where there is Akhilesh, there is victory, he said and added that there is a conspiracy against the CM.

Just before the state Assembly election, scheduled to take place in early 2017, the internal family fight between the SP has escalated. Now, it will be interesting to watch how and to what extent it will affect the party in the upcoming polls.
