AAP leader Raghav Chadha on Saturday criticised the fresh corruption case put up against former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia saying that the CBI case was "fake, false, and fabricated." The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a fresh corruption case against Manish Sisodia and others over alleged irregularities in the Delhi government's 'Feedback Unit'.
"In the guise of a feedback unit, a fake, false, and fabricated case has been put up against Manish Sisodia. The BJP claims that Sisodia snooped on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders after 2015. I want to ask the BJP government, how come a half deputy chief minister of half a state can snoop on the mightiest person in the country, but the government and the central agencies were left unaware of it."
"This raises a major question on the capability of the Union government and the central agencies," he remarked. The AAP leader further questioned the Modi government saying how it will face China and Pakistan when it's left in the dark about the alleged snooping happening in the country.
Attacking the ruling BJP, Raghav Chadha told the saffron party to "level allegations that are at least believable for the people." He said the CBI's FIR "is not based on facts, it is purely based on fiction."
The Punjab MP asked the government to suspend high-ranking officials of central agencies like the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the Intelligence Bureau (IB), and the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for not being able to find out about the alleged act earlier.
He claimed that the purpose of the fresh case was to ensure that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's "right-hand man" remains in jail in one case or another.
Besides the CBI case, Raghav Chadha also hit out at the BJP alleging that the saffron party was trying to intimidate AAP MLAs to destabalise the Delhi government. He claimed that the opposition party in the Delhi Assembly was going to bring a no-confidence motion while threatening his party's MLAs with central agency raids if they refused to join the BJP.
