Eid Al-Adha: Scores of people from the Muslim community offered Namaz across the country on Monday on the occassion of Eid Al-Adha. Eid Al-Adha is a holy occasion and is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic or lunar calendar. It marks the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
In several visuals shared by news agency ANI, people in several states were seen offering Namaz across states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu. Devotees gathered in the Chandani Chowk area in the national capital to offer Namaz.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi offered Namaz at Dargah Panja Sharif on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
People were also seen offering Namaz at Eidgah in Rajasthan's capital ciy Jaipur on the occasion of the Eid Al-Adha festival.
People gathered in large numbers to offer Namaz in Tamil Nadu's Madurai.
In Kerala, people gathered at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium in Trivandrum to offer Eid prayers.
In the visuals surfaced from Rajasthan's Ajmer, devotees gathered in large numbers at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti's dargah to offer prayers on the occasion of the Eid Al-Adha festival.
