After many failed attempts of reviving her, she was rushed to the Dunguripallu Community Health Centre (CHC) where she declared dead on arrival. According to media reports, Gupteswari also known as Rosy had been distressed since her father passed away a few months ago.

HT report quoted a wedding guest, “she kept on crying while being sent off. We knew that she was under a lot of stress as she had lost her father a few months ago. Her maternal uncle and others were organising the marriage. We did not expect her to die in such a way," said a villager, Ramesh Sahu. "She was a sweet girl," he added.

Cardiac arrests during stressful events happen because in such situations the heart can not efficiently pump blood.

According to a News18 report, the Binika Police were involved in her death report as Gupteswari was a healthy, young woman. Her body has been sent for a post-mortem and the final results will be presented after the autopsy.
