Another unruly incident by a flight passenger has come to light after a drunk passenger, who was travelling on an Indigo flight from Guwahati to Delhi on March 26, vomited in the aisle.
The incident came to the fore after Bhaskar Dev Konwar, who was also on the flight, shared a photo of one of the members of the cabin crew who was cleaning the aisle. He hailed her for handling the entire situation.
Indigo is yet to come out with a statement over the incident.
Konwar took to Twitter to share a photo of the cabin crew member. Along with the photo he wrote, “Indigo 6E 762: Guwahati to Delhi. The intoxicated passenger vomited on the aisle and defecated all around the toilet. Leading lady Shewta cleaned up all the mess and all the girls managed the situation exceptionally well. Salute girl power”.
In the picture shared, the crew members can be seen wearing gloves and a mask while cleaning up the aisle.
In a separate post on social media Konwar wrote, “I was really feeling bad. Three girls were from NE... They were crawling on the aisle to clean it up and out of respect, I didn’t click those moments.”
Last year in November, a passenger named Shankar Mishra had allegedly urinated on a 70-year-old woman in an intoxicated condition in business class of an Air India flight. Delhi Police had registered an FIR against him on January 4 on a complaint given by the woman to Air India.
The police registered an FIR under sections 354, 509, and 510 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act. Both the accused and the victim are from outside Delhi.
