In yet another incident of in-flight misconduct, a passenger onboard a Jaipur-Bengaluru flight allegedly misbehaved with the crew members mid-air. According to police, the passenger was allegedly drunk and was warned multiple times of his behaviour, reported PTI. He was arrested after the plane landed at the Bengaluru airport on Friday (Nov 17). The 32-year-old passenger was handed over to the police at the Kempegowda International Airport here, a senior police officer told the agency.

"Based on the complaint received from IndiGo, we registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and arrested the passenger. He was later released on bail," he added.

IndiGo also issued a statement and said that the passenger on flight 6E 556 was intoxicated and misbehaved with the crew despite multiple warnings.

"A passenger on flight 6E 556 from Jaipur to Bengaluru was intoxicated and misbehaved with the crew despite multiple warnings. The passenger was handed over to the local law enforcement authorities on arrival for further legal action," the airline said, as quoted by ANI.

Last week, a Goa-bound flight returned to its outbound airport in Bengaluru after a stray dog was spotted on the runway by the Air Traffic Controller, reported PTI. The incident occurred when the pilot decided to turn back without landing at the Dabolim Airport after he was asked to “hold for sometime” as a stray dog was spotted on the runway but “he preferred to return to Bengaluru”, Goa airport's director SVT Dhanamjaya Rao told PTI.

According to Dabolim airport sources, “Just as UK 881 approached the airport, a stray dog was spotted on the runway by the ground staff. The air traffic control alerted the pilot of the flight not to land immediately. This is a standard procedure done until the ground staff clears the runway. However, we don’t know why the pilot decided to return to Bengaluru.”
