Bharatiya Janata Party leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa and former Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president has claimed that the administration of Kartarpur Gurdwara in Shakargarh, Narowal District of Punjab in Pakistan, organised a dance party on the Kartarpur Sahib complex, as reported by news agency ANI on Monday. He also said that alcohol and meat were also consumed during the party. Condemning the act, Sirsa made an appeal to the Pakistani government to register a case in the matter.


"The PMU Kartarpur Corridor Committee in Narowal, including the local Deputy Commissioner and DSP of Kartarpur Gurdwara administration, organised a dance party, consumed alcohol and meat... Strict action should be taken against them. I condemn this act strongly and appeal to the Pakistan government to register a case against them and put them behind bars," Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, as quoted by ANI.






The Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) spokesperson, Gurcharan Singh Grewal, reiterated the Sikh community's call for action against the culprits and asked the Jathedar of Akal Takht Kartarpur Sahib to give clarity on his stand on the issue and ensure that such incidents would not happen again.


"The entire Sikh community condemns this shameful incident. Pakistan's government should take action in this matter. I request the Jathedar of Akal Takht Kartarpur Sahib to clear their stand on this. so that such incident would not happen in future" Gurcharan Singh Grewal said, as quoted by ANI.
