New Delhi/Noida: The DLF Mall of India, which has come to limelight after reportedly denying entry to individuals coming in bathroom slippers, has denied any such move.

Here are important points:

  • Pushpa Bector, executive vice president and head - premium malls division at DLF, denied the existence of any such rule. She said that the mall does not deny entry based on appearances and clothes.

  • Since last week, the DLF Mall of India in Sector 18 has, reportedly, denied entry to individuals coming in bathroom slippers.

  • As per the reports, the security staff is doing this is in response to an incident last week when a guest wearing slippers got an electric shock.

  • Clubs and fine-dining restaurants have often exercised similar rules. However, this is probably the first time a mall in NCR has enforced something like this.

  • It is learnt that the Mall of India sees a footfall of about one lakh per day on its busiest days.
