New Delhi: Amid buzz over controversy surrounding Ram Mandir, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to celebrate choti Diwali in Ayodhya. CM is also likely to make an announcement of construction of Ram statue which will be at par with the statue of unity and would be 152 metre tall. This statue will be constructed at the bank of river Saryu.

Special celebrations are likely to take place in Ayodhya this year. This year South Korean First lady Kim-Jung-Sook has been invited as a guest of honour, who would be participating in the festivities in Ayodhya. Governor Ram Naik, Bihar governor Lalaji Tandon will also be present for the event.

Special arrangements are being made in Ayodhya for this event. All the ghats are being decorated and the cities are being cleaned. Tight security arrangements have made considering the presence of foreign guest.

Last year, 1 lakh 82 thousand diyas were lit in Ayodhya; this year, this record is set to break as around 3 lakh diyas will be lit at Saryu river bank.  These diyas will be lit for around 40 minutes.

Following is the list of events that are set to take place today in Ayodhya:




1. First programme will be organized between 12 pm and 3pm, where a shobayatra will be organized; where the life journey of lord Ram will be displayed.

2. After this, between 3:15pm and 4pm Queen Heo’s will be paid tribute.

3. Between 4 and 4:30pm, Pushp Viman will be brought to Ramkatha Park. CM Yogi, Governor Ram Naik and Lalji Tandon will welcome Korean first lady.

4.In the evening between 4:45 and 5:45, all the Chief guests will deliver speeches in Ram katha Park.

5.Evening 6:15 to 6:45pm will do aarti, during this all the guests will accompany him.

6.After this till 7:30pm, diya lighting will take place.
