NEW DEWLHI: In another scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his demonetisation drive, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that the Reserve Bank of India is changing its rules like PM Modi changes his clothes.

Rahul's attack on the RBI and PM Modi came a day after the apex bank said that the deposits of demonetised notes with a value of over Rs 5,000 would be allowed just once in a bank account between now and December 30.

The announcement has lengthened the list of abrupt changes enforced since the note recall was announced on November 8.

On Monday, escalating his attack on PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi had trashed demonetisation of high value currency notes as a ‘firebombing on the poor’ and charged that he has blocked the money of the poor and farmers through currency ban to favour a handful of industrialists.

Rahul also dubbed demonetisation as “Modi-made disaster”. He claimed PM Modi would write off Rs 8 lakh crore loans of the 50 rich families who funded his election campaign from the money people have deposited in banks after the note ban.

Last week, Rahul threatened to "expose personal corruption of Modi" while claiming that he was not being allowed to speak in Parliament as it would lead to an "earthquake".

“The Prime Minister is personally terrified of me being allowed to open my mouth inside Lok Sabha because I have information about the Prime Minister that is going to explode his balloon. And I am not being allowed to speak in the House,” he had said.
