Delhi Weather: The weather remained clear in Delhi-NCR on Thursday morning with a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 19 degrees Celsius. Humidity was 82 per cent at 8.30 am. The maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 31.2 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 20.3 degrees Celsius, which was two degree Celsius above normal. The maximum temperature was 32.1 degrees Celsius, which is normal for this season. Over the next six days, the maximum temperature in the city is likely to be 31 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature in between 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.


The air quality 'deteriorated' on Thursday after a day's 'good' AQI. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the air quality monitoring and weather forecasting system under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the level of PM2.5 and PM10 pollutants were at 91 (medium) and 171 (poor) respectively. Delhi's total AQI at 9 A.M has been classified as 'poor' at ITO, PUSA Sansthan, IIT-Delhi, and Delhi University and at Noida and T3 as 'medium' The AQI of Delhi-NCR was 'good' on Monday and 'satisfactory' on Tuesday due to rain this week. AQI is considered 'good' between zero and 50, 'satisfactory' between 51 and 100, 'medium' between 101 and 200, 'bad' between 201 and 300, and 'extremely bad' between 301 and 400, and 'serious' between 401 and 500.


Action against violators of dust control rules in Delhi


A fine of Rs 81.20 lakh has been imposed on 60 vehicles and 313 construction sites between October 1 and October 15, taking strict action against violators of dust control rules in Delhi. This information was given by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) of the Central Government on Wednesday. The Commission said that between October 1 and October 15, 112 investigating teams visited 1,268 construction and demolition sites in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan, out of which 955 sites were found to be complying with dust control rules and 313 sites were found violating rules.
