Delhi: Watch miscreants, over road rage, set SUV Fortuner on fire parked outside house

New Delhi: In a shocking case of road rage two men set an SUV on fire in West Delhi Subhash Nagar area here in the national capital. Both men were arrested. On Wednesday morning, Saurabh Makhija and Manmeet Singh with their faces covered in their Chevrolet Cruze car reached Subhash Nagar and set the Fortuner afire to avenge an alleged argument they had with the son of the owner of the SUV over rash driving and overtaking, some hours ago. The two were arrested later on the day. Localities and the SUV owner’s family at first thought it to be an accidental fire. The incident was captured on the CCTV camera. However, when they examined the CCTV camera footage, they found that two men had deliberately burnt down their car. The duo with their faces covered reached near the SUV with a bottle in their hand. They poured inflammable on the vehicle and set it on fire before fleeing. The Fortuner owner Vineet Makol found his four-wheeler on fire and raised an alarm. Neighbours rushed out of their homes, called the police and fire control rooms. A fire tender reached the spot and doused the flames within 20 minutes, said cops. The owner of the SUV checked the CCTV camera footage and found what actually happened. A case was registered and an investigation initiated. Delhi: Watch miscreants, over road rage, set SUV Fortuner on fire parked outside house As per information, Makol in his complaint told police that on Tuesday evening, he along with his family members visited Hanuman temple in Connaught Place. When they were returning home in the night, near Rajouri Garden a Cruze car overtook their Fortuner in a rash and negligent manner. When Makol objected to the rash driving, an argument broke out between the two party. However, both the party left the place. However, in the night he woke up after hearing some sound outside his home only to discover his car burning. During the investigation, the police scanned the camera footage and identified the owner of the Cruze car and arrested the culprits. The two told police that they followed the Fortuner after the argument.
