New Delhi: It has been a week since communal clashes erupted across Northeast Delhi, the worst the national capital had witnessed since the 1984 riots. Normalcy has returned to the riot-hit areas and people can be seen stepping out of their homes, though police forces remain deployed across the region to keep a vigil.

In areas like Shiv Vihar, Jaffrabad, Chandbagh and others which saw hard-line violence, people of both communities are now coming out with stories of brotherhood and mutual support.
