New Delhi: Fresh differences have emerged between Delhi government and the Delhi administrative authorities after Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot allegedly misbehaved with Transport Commissioner Varsha Joshi.

The administrative officers are now demanding an apology from the minister over the alleged misconduct.

As per reports, Gahlot threatened to ‘get her arrested for corruption'.

The Official Twitter Handle of employees and officers of Delhi State Administrative Service, DANICS and IAS working under Government of NCT of Delhi tweeted: “Honest officers being targeted again for doing their job with integrity. Fake charges being levelled and dignity being attacked for expressing frank opinions. Despite assurances by the Hon'ble CM, no respect for dignity."

In a written note the officers and staff of Transport Department said that they are “greatly pained” over the misbehaviour of Kailash Gahlot with Varsha Joshi, IAS Secretary-cum-commissioner, in the conference room of Transport Minister on Friday. In the note, it was alleged that in the said meeting the Minister not only misbehaved with an honest and upright woman officer but also insulted her in the presence of more than 30 subordinate officers. It further stated that the minister also threatened to implicate her in false case and directed his staff to stop her entry in his office.

This is not the first instance of rift between the IAS officers and Delhi government. Previously too the officers had refused to co-operate with the government.
