New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a shopping festival for the national capital. He said that the 'Delhi Shopping Festival' will be organised at the beginning of next year which will improve the employment and business in the city. He claimed that this festival is going to be the biggest shopping festival of the country and said that the nation has not witnessed a shopping festival on such a grand scale. 


He further said that the entire city will be decked up and the government will be invited foreign guest to the shopping festival. He added that the festival will empower Delhi's economy as local shopkeepers and people will benefit financially. 


Revealing that the Delhi shopping festival will be held for 30 days, he said that the Delhites should save the dates as it will be held from January 28 to February 26 in 2023. 


He added that there will be massive discounts for people during the festival and the people of the national capital should get ready to host such a grand event and welcome national and international guests.  


Kejriwal said, "Through this Festival, Delhi's economy will receive a major boost. It'll be a huge opportunity for Delhi's businessmen, an opportunity for them to increase their business. It'll be a huge opportunity to present Delhi on an international level. It'll generate thousands of jobs."


The Delhi Chief Minister further added that the AAP government is in talks with airlines for special packages to passengers. 


He further said, "Delhi will look like a bride during shopping fest, heavy discounts on offer; exhibitions on tech, health to be highlights."


Kejriwal said that he will be looking forward to organise this festival at international level in later years,
