On Saturday night, a minor girl allegedly hanged herself to death at Delhi’s Tilak Vihar police station.
As per the police, she came to the police station at 2 AM and said that she doesn't want to go to her home. There was no lady constable at that time. By the time someone was called, families started quarrelling at the station. The girl went to the adjacent room and hanged herself. Magisterial inquiry is underway.
However, the mother of the girl has accused their neighbours of being the reason behind the girl’s suicide. She said that their neighbours had abducted her. They allegedly wanted their son to marry the deceased girl but the girl’s family had refused because she was a minor.
After her daughter’s abduction, the girl’s mother said she got a call from police where she saw the girl hanging in one room and her 3 sons locked in another room.
The incident taking place at a police station makes it all the more complex, and has stirred a commotion in the neighbourhood.
