Delhi Police arrests Pakistan High Commission staffer Mohd Akhtar with defence documents
New Delhi: Pakistan High Commission staffer Mohd Akhtar arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday morning. Akhtar was arrested after he was carrying some defence documents with him. Two other men have also been arrested along with Akhtar.
Delhi Police crime branch arrested Pakistan High Commission official and 2 other men over espionage charges. According to Ravindra Yadav, Delhi Police official, "On initial interrogation, the Pakistan official said he is an Indian citizen and also showed a fake AADHAR card".
According to a statement released by joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav; of the two other men arrested, one of them is Maulana Ramzan Khan, is a permanent of Manak Ki Dhani, Barmer, Rajasthan. The man has been running a cut piece cloth shop. The other man has been identified as 35 year-old Subhash Jangir. He is also a permanent resident of Nagaur, Rajasthan.
The official added that, another spy identified as Shoaib will be arrested soon for his involvement.
According to the sources, India is set to summon the Pakistan envoy here. The police is investigating the official.
