Delhi Metro on Republic Day: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued an advisory regarding metro operations on Republic Day i.e. January 26. The metro advisory informed that on Republic Day (January 26), the train will run only at select metro stations.


On behalf of DMRC, changes have been made in the Metro service on the yellow line (Huda City Center to Samay Pur Badli). As per the guidelines of Delhi Police, this arrangement has been made by DMRC due to security reasons.

Entry & Exit At These Metro Stations Will Remain Closed


DMRC said that entry and exit at Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations on the line from Huda City Centre to Samaypur Badli will remain closed till 12:00 pm on January 26, though passengers will be allowed to interchange between Line 2 and Line 6 at The Central Secretariat Station.


Metro Parking Will Be Closed From 6 am On January 25


Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg metro stations will also remain closed from 8:45 am to 12:00 pm on Wednesday, January 26. Metro parking will also be closed from 6:00 am on January 25 to 2:00 pm on January 26.


For Beating Retreat Ceremony


DMRC has also changed the metro services for the 'Beating Retreat Ceremony' on Saturday, January 29, 2022. As per the changes, metro service will not be available at Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan Metro Station on the Yellow Line of Samaypur Badli from Hooda City Centre and the metro train will not run at the station from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

However, passengers of the Central Secretariat Metro Station (Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh Marg) will be allowed to interchange, and services will be restored at these metro stations from 6:30 pm.
