Delhi Hunar Haat: The 35th edition of a fair with skilled artisans from across the country called Hunar Haat has begun in Delhi. ‘Hunar Haat’ is being organised from December 23 to January 5, 2022, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. More than 700 artisans, craftsmen, and masters of traditional cuisine from across the country are participating in the fair. 


The 14-day long fair was inaugurated by the Union Environment and Labour and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, and Union Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakshi Lekhi.


On this occasion, Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that Hunar Haat has become a national-international identity of the skills of small towns and cities of the country, because talent resides in every region, every society of India, so it needs to be promoted. And Hunar Haat is playing an effective role in this direction. 


Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that this time more than 700 artisans, craftsmen, and masters of traditional dishes have come to Hunar Haat from different states. With this, more than 7 lakh 50 thousand people have got employment and self-employment through Hunar Haat during the last 6 years, in which the number of women is more than 40 percent.


 



 



 


Hunar Haat '3V' Became An Important Medium For The Development Of Vishwakarma Heritage: Naqvi


Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi added that Hunar Haat '3V' has become an important medium of the development of Vishwakarma heritage and under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the government of the country is providing new opportunities and markets for reviving the legacy of the country's heritage. Along with this, care has been taken for safety, and cleanliness, in Hunar Haat organized at JLN Stadium. 


Wearing a mask is mandatory for entry to Hunar Haat. Free mask distribution has also been arranged for tourists.





 


200 Security Personnel Have Been Deployed.


350 sweepers and 200 security personnel have been deployed to maintain cleanliness across the campus of Hunar Haat. A team of 50 people has been engaged in arranging a separate parking space near the venue. Three teams of 40 people have been deployed in Vishwakarma Vatika, Mera Gaon-Mera Desh, and Bawarchi Khana section.
