According to reports, the minister is stable and is being monitored by a team of critical care specialists in the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).
The minister was admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital in Tahirpur on Monday night after he was found to be suffering from a high fever and low oxygen saturation.
Initially, he had tested Covid-19 negative but due to repeated symptoms, Jain got tested again. He had tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday, a day after he was admitted to RGSSH, after running a high-grade fever and suffering a sudden drop in oxygen levels.
Earlier on Monday, he had attended an all-party meeting convened by Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the pandemic situation in the national capital.

According to doctors who treated him at RGSSH, Jain was kept full-time on oxygen support after his oxygen saturation level (Spo2) had dipped.
"We have put him fully on oxygen support as his Spo2 level had fallen to 89 at one point. The normal level is about 95. Also, he has been diagnosed with pneumonia, so we decided to shift him to an ICU at the hospital," a senior official of the hospital told PTI.
However, the minister, who has no comorbidities, was found to be suffering from pneumonia, a known Covid-19 complication, and also complained of breathlessness and giddiness from Friday morning.
Soon, he was shifted to Max Hospital’s ICU and kept on oxygen support.
Later in the day, a CT scan revealed that the pneumonic patch in his lungs had expanded.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted to wish Jain a speedy recovery.
"Praying for the speedy recovery of Shri Satyendra Jain, Health Minister of Delhi who is battling with COVID-19 infection," Shah tweeted.
