A massive fire erupted at a chemical godown in Northwest Delhi's Swaroop Nagar on Thuesday evening. As per the initial reports, 16 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot and pressed into action to douse the blaze.


As of now, no casualties have been reported. Rescue operation is underway. More details remain awaited in the matter.

Meanwhile, the famous Crawford Market in South Mumbai also engulfed with flames on Thursday evening. According to the initial reports, the fire erupted at the ground floor of the market, triggering huge panic among the local residents.

A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official said that they received the information about the fire at 6:15 PM. Upon acknowledging the incident, soon eight fire engines were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.


A PTI report quoted the official saying that it is a level two fire and around eight fire engines have been rushed to the spot. The official further informed that personnel of the BMC ward office, police and ambulances have also reached the site.
