Delhi Coronavirus: The national capital continues to grapple hard with Covid-19 pandemic as a steep rise in the Covid figures have caught both the administration and the residents off guard, which is being termed as the third wave by many. The situation tuned grimmer here in November, when Covid-19 coupled with dangerous AQI levels, posed a serious threat to the residents.

The daily number of cases and deaths in New Delhi has broken all records this month

On Tuesday, Delhi reported 6,746 cases in a day followed by Maharashtra recording 5,753 new cases while Kerala reported 5,254 daily cases.  With 121 reported deaths, contributes 23.68 per cent to the new fatalities, the ministry of health said.

5 deaths every hour in Delhi:

At least five persons died due to Covid-19 every hour on an average in Delhi in the last 24 hours, accounting for the largest chunk of such fatalities across the country, which recorded an average of 21 deaths in this period, said an analysis based on the data from the Union Health Ministry which gave the total number of deaths recorded in the country and all states and UTs due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Delhi | 121 deaths  in a day: second-highest figure so far:

The 121 fatalities clocked due to Covid-19 on Monday is the second-highest so far.  This was the fifth time in the last 11 days that the daily number of deaths had crossed the 100-mark.

Delhi | 1,950 deaths in November alone:

The number of deaths in November alone has reached 1,950, pushing the overall toll to 8,512.

As per government records, from November 1 to November 23, the national capital reported 1,950 deaths, which is 22.9 per cent of the total fatalities caused by the virus in Delhi. Meanwhile, the infection rate remained as high as 11.94 per cent while the case fatality rate stood at 1.59 per cent.

On the brighter side: Single-day recoveries outnumbered fresh cases:

However, on a positive note, recoveries outnumbered new cases on Monday with Delhi reporting 4,454 fresh cases as against 7,216 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the official data from the Delhi government showed. This is the third time in the last four days that recoveries have exceeded the number of new cases
