Prime Minister Narendra Modi raised concerns over the issue of broadcasting the in-house meeting with Chief Ministers and said that it is against the protocols. The Delhi CM who televised the meeting immediately apologized to the Prime Minister over the issue.


PM Modi was chairing a meeting with the CMs of all the Covid crippled states. However, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's discussion with the Prime Minister was televised, which government sources suggested was meant to be a "private conversation".

During the meeting, Kejriwal said,"there's a huge shortage of oxygen in Delhi. Will people of Delhi not get oxygen if there is no oxygen-producing plant here? Please suggest whom should I speak to in Central Govt when an oxygen tanker destined for Delhi is stopped in another state."


Kejriwal also raised suggested in the meeting that a national plan should be designed on the lines of 'One Nation, One Vaccine Rate' has there is already a lot of economic burden on the states.

However, government sources claimed that the Delhi CM Kejriwal used the PM-CM conference on Covid as a platform to play politics. Govt sources say he "chose to spread lies on vaccine prices despite knowing that Centre does not keep one vaccine dose with itself and shares with states only."



However, the Chief Minister's office also released a statement claiming that the CM address was shared live because there has never been any instruction, written or verbal, from central govt that the said interaction could not be shared live.


The CMO further said, "There have been multiple occasions of similar interactions where matters of public importance which had no confidential information were shared live. However, if any inconvenience was caused we highly regret that."


The total number of fatalities have gone up to 13,193 and the caseload to 9,56,348, of which 91,618 are active cases.


Last time the same Kejriwal was found yawning and laughing during the same meeting.
