New Delhi: The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President, Adesh Gupta has tested positive for coronavirus. The leader has also tweeted about his condition and said that he did the tests after having a fever last week. While his first test report was negative his second one showed that he was infected with the virus.


This comes days after Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia informed that he had tested positive for Coronavirus. The senior Aam Aadmi Party leader has gone into self-isolation as a precautionary measure.

India on Wednesday crossed the number has crossed the 50-lakh mark for total Covid 19 cases in the country. In the last 24 hours, 90,123 new cases of Coronavirus have been registered and 1290 fatalities have been recorded. But while the cases are high, the recovery rate is also on the higher side.

On Monday India recorded one of the highest numbers of Covid 19 recoveries in the world, even overtaking Brazil which is the third-worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The Union Health Ministry, India's recovery rate has touched 77.88 percent reflecting the increasing number of high recoveries per day.
