New Delhi: Days after 11-people of a family in national capital’s Burari died in a mass suicide, the lone survivor of the family-their dog, also passed away on Sunday evening.

After losing all his owners, the dog was kept at a dog shelter, where he passed away at 6pm on Sunday. Now, the police are going to get his post-mortem conducted to find out the reason behind his death.

Questions were raised over not-barking of dog:

To everyone’s surprise, the pet dog of the family did not bark after 11-members of the house hung themselves in the same room where he was present. In a response to this shocker, the founder at House For Animals Sanjay Mahapatra said that the dog was kept starving for 24 hours before the tragic incident. He also said that he could have been fed sleeping pills.


The dog was very angry over family’s death:

The founder at House for Animals, Mahapatra said that “When we found out that the whole family has died and only the dog has survived, our whole team went to rescue the dog”. He further said that even the cops had tried to get the dog but he wasn’t letting anyone come close to him. He said that “The dog was very aggressive at that point and, when we tried to get him, it took us 45 minutes to get hold of him”.

The dog was undergoing depression:

Mahapatra further said that because of witnessing the whole incident and being empty stomach for over 24 hours, the dog got into depression. He further said that he  had108 degree fever, his lever was infected and was low on platelets. He further added that during treatment, he was made to undergo several therapies and there was a lot of improvement in his health thereafter.
