The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has put up posters outside its Delhi office attacking CM Arvind Kejriwal over the latter's questions on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degree. The posters read 'degree to bahana hai, Kejriwal ko bhrashtachar se nazar hatana hai (degree is only an excuse, Kerjiwal is trying to divert attention from corruption)'.
This comes after Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that perhaps 'PM Modi's degree is fake'. In a media address on Saturday, Kejriwal raised several questions about PM Modi's education and some of his comments during several previous events. Pertinently, the Court also imposed costs of Rs 25,000 on Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal who had sought details of the PM's degree certificate.
He raised the questions a day after the Gujarat High Court ruled that the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) need not furnish the degree and post-graduate degree certificate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Quoting several remarks made by PM Modi earlier, Kejriwal said, "There are several comments that PM Modi has made and which comes as a surprise to countrymen. Once he said one can make tea on the gas coming out of drains and on other occasions- he said that a plane can be saved from radar detection if it stays behind clouds."
The Delhi CM claimed that the comments have surprised Army personnel, students and scientists.
Kejriwal further said that the Prime Minister was talking about a mathematical formula in Canada that he couldn't explain and the citizens of India felt embarrassed due to it.
Speaking on the concern of climate change, the CM said, "Once PM Modi was telling children that climate change is nothing. If the PM will say so, how will we be able to act on it? I could see children in the event smiling silently over his statement."
He said these incidents raise doubt over the credibility of the education of our Prime Minister. He claimed that he saw a video in which the PM was saying that he (PM) had gone to schools in the village and did not pursue any higher education.
