Ayodhya: Grand Deepotsav celebrations have begun in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya with over 9.5 lakh earthen lamps being lit up on the bank of Saryu river as part of Diwali 2021. According to reports, Ayodhya has once again entered the Guinness Book of World Record with the lighting up of more than 9.5 lakh diyas.


The diyas have been decorated at 32 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi making Ayodhya look gorgeous on the special occasion. Along with Ram Ki Paidi, all roads, temples and streets in the city are lit up. State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also reached Ayodhya to be a part of the mega celebration.






 


CM Yogi welcomes Shobha Yatra:


State CM Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Shobha Yatra on the occasion of Deepotsav.


CM Yogi Adityanath garlanded the artists who play Lord Ram, Lord Laxman, and Goddess Sita during the Sobha Yatra. 






Special security arrangements made: 


Special security arrangements have also been made for the fifth Deepotsav program being held in Ayodhya. Police personnel are deployed at every nook and corner of the holy city. Barricades have also been put up at various places.


Additionally, the road from Naya Ghat to Ram ki Paidi has been blocked. Barricades have been put up on both sides and no one is allowed to go from New Ghat to Ram ki Paidi. Commute on the old bridge over Saryu has also been stopped.
