After Agra schoolgirl dies of burn injuries, brother commits suicide
The class 10 student, was waylaid by two men, who allegedly poured petrol on her and set her on fire with a lighter. The incident happened at a distance of one kilometre from the school. The girl was found by a passerby who with the help of police, rescued her and rushed her to SN Medical College.
AGRA: A day after the 15-year-old girl, who was allegedly set ablaze by two unidentified men in Agra on Tuesday, passed away after undergoing treatment at the Safdarjung Hospital, his cousin brother committed suicide by consuming poison. After the incident, there is anger against the Yogi government and the police in the village.

Speaking to media, victim’s father Harendra Singh, “We have no enmity with anyone, don’t know who attempted to kill my daughter. She is in deep trauma and is not in the condition to speak.”
The schoolgirl had received up to 75 per cent burn injuries, doctors at the SN Medical College hospital in Agra said. The girl was later referred to the Safdarjang Hospital in New Delhi.
In the case, the police are on the look out for the two unidentified men.
