After the severe cyclonic storm 'Remal' made landfall near coastal Bangladesh and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal on Sunday night, the flight operations that were hit and shut down due to the ccylone's aftermath have finally resumed at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Airport in Kolkata
The passengers have expressed relief on resumption of services.
Meanwhile, in case of the railways, there are still some issues in the Sealdah divisons, especially in the south session, in view of the cyclone's aftermath, CPRO Eastern Railway and Metro Railway of Kolkata Kaushik Mitra informed news agency PTI.
However, in the eastern railway, "Howrah, Asansol, and Malda divisions were not at all affected by cyclone Remal and the normal services are continuing here." the CPRO Eastern Railway said, while commenting on the train and metro services following cyclone 'Remal' made landfall Bengal's caosts last night.

According to India Meterological Department's latest update, the severe cyclonic storm Remal over coastal Bangladesh and the adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal has now weakend into a cyclonic storm.
The development took place today at 5:30 AM at around 70 kilometres northeast of Canning and 30 kilometres west-southwest of Mongla.
"The system is likely to gradually weaken further," the weather department said.
