Corona cases Update: Covid-19 cases in the country are below the 15,000 for a second consecutive day. As per the latest numbers released by the Health Ministry, India recorded 14,313 new Corona cases, 13,543 recoveries, and 549 deaths in the last 24 hours. The active cases stand at 1,61,555.


Active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, which is currently at 0.47%. This is the lowest since March 2020. Total recoveries are at 3,36,41,175 while the Recovery rate is at 98.19%


More than 50% of the total of India's Covid-19 cases are being registered in Kerala. The number of cases in the southern state was going down, but today again, there has been a slight surge.

Kerala on Friday recorded 7722 new coronavirus cases and 471 related deaths which raised the caseload to 4,95,4063 and toll to 31156according to the Kerala government's Covid-19 dashboard. The state had registered over 6500 cases yesterday.


Cases were going down after a slight surge on 25 October 2021. 


With 6,648 more people recovering from the virus on Friday, the total recoveries touched 4843576 and the active cases dropped to 78802, as per the latest numbers. 


Among the 14 districts, Thiruvananthapuram  recorded the highest with 1087 cases, followed by Ernakulam (1047), Thrissur (847), and Kollam (805) 







Maharashtra


Maharashtra on Thursday reported 1,338 new coronavirus cases and 36 fatalities, according to the state health bulletin. 


After the daily rise in cases, the overall tally surged to 66,09,292, and the death toll reached 1,40,170.


The state now has 18,465 active patients while 1,68,338 people are in-home quarantine and 908 in institutional quarantine.
