The second wave of Covid-19 in India may have weakened, but the threat is still not reduced. Vaccine is considered to be the biggest protective shield in the battle against Coronavirus. This is why government is running a campaign to get every citizen of the country vaccinated as soon as possible.
To ensure that the Covid-19 vaccine is easily accessible to everyone, government on Tuesday said pre-registration for vaccination through online registration and prior booking of appointment is not mandatory to avail vaccination services.
In a statement issued by PIB, information has been given by the government that health workers and ASHA workers will go to rural areas and urban slums to ensure that the Covid-19 vaccine reaches every corner of the country and also make people aware of on-site registration. Many people in rural area are still not able to register online. This is the reason why that the speed of Covid vaccination in rural areas is very low.
