Despite the spike in Coronavirus cases in the state, the Karnataka government has decided to do away with night curfews and Sunday curfew from 1st August under Unlock 3.0. 'In accordance with the unlock 3.0 guidelines from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Sunday lockdown on August 2 has been lifted along with night curfew from August 1 between 9pm and 5am,' state Chief Secretary T.M. Vijay Bhaskar said in an order.
'With more relaxations of lockdown restrictions, gyms and yoga institutes will be allowed to reopen from August 5 across the state,' said Bhaskar.
Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported 450 new Coronavirus cases. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the Union Territory has now neared the 20,000-mark with 7,662, active cases. However, on the positive side, 11,842 patients have recovered from the deadly virus. 17 Coronavirus infected patients died of Covid-19 on Thursday ( 1 Jammu and 16 from Kashmir). Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav visited Pune on Thursday to review coronavirus pandemic situation in the district.
