Covid In India: The country has been witnessing a downward trend for four consecutive today and has registered below 1 lakh daily Covid cases. However, the increase in Covid deaths has alarmed the people.
India reports 91,702 COVID19 cases, 1,34,580 discharges & 3,403 deaths in last 24 hrs, as per Health Ministry.

Covid Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 29th consecutive day. The recovery rate has increased to 94.93%, The weekly positivity rate is currently at 5.14%.

Maharashtra reported an increase in Covid-19 cases and death in the last 24 hours on Thursday.
The state reported 12,207 new Covid cases and 393 death in a day. Yesterday, Maharashtra reported 10,989 cases and 261 deaths in 24 hours span.
With the pandemic's second wave waning, 11,042 new cases were logged, while194 patients succumbed to the infection in a day, said the state health bulletin on Thursday.
"With 11,042 positive cases were registered on Wednesday, the state's Covid tally rose to 27,39,290, including 2,10,652 active cases, while recoveries increased to 24,96,132, with 15,721 patients discharged during the day," said the bulletin.
Tamil Nadu recorded 16,813 fresh cases on Thursday, bringing the state tally to 23,08,838. Among these, Chennai reported 1,223 positive cases, bringing the city’s total to 5,220,52. The state recorded 358 deaths on Thursday, putting the state toll at 28,528. 279 of them had succumbed due to comorbidities. A total of 32,049 patients were discharged following treatment, taking the total number of recoveries to 20,91,646.
India's Covid-19 tally had crossed the 20 lakh-mark on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5 and 50 lakh on September 16.
It went past 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, crossed 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20 and surpassed the one crore-mark on December 19. India had crossed the grim milestone of two crore on May 4.
