Ladakh: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, five more people were tested positive for Coronavirus in Leh district of UT Ladakh. With this, the number of Covid-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 57; 16 in Leh district and 41 in Kargil district (with one patient of Kargil admitted in SKIMS Srinagar). The bulletin reveals that 51 samples were tested at Covid-19 Laboratory Chuchot Yokma yesterday: 39 samples from Leh district and 12 samples from Kargil district. Out of these, one positive report and 38 negative reports were of Leh district and 12 negative reports were of Kargil district.

The Health department Leh yesterday also received 299 sample reports from NCDC, New Delhi. Out of the total sample reports, 04 positive reports and 183 negative reports of Leh district and 112 sample reports were of Kargil district.

The bulletin further informed that the condition of all 57 active cases of Covid-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.

Today 147 samples were sent to NCDC New Delhi for testing. Out of these 61 samples are of Leh district and 86 samples are of Kargil district.

The bulletin further informs that a delivery of twin was conducted at CHC Chiktan by Block Medical Officer Chiktan, and the birth dose vaccine was also given. Both the mother and babies are in good health condition.

In order to disseminate awareness about Covid-19, information through loudspeakers was carried out in Kukshow, Dargoo, Shakar and Sanjak villages by BMO Chiktan, and the same was conducted in Baroo zone by BMO Sankoo.

15 passengers and 250 drivers if 167 trucks/tankers and 15 light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. The vehicles were also sanitized.

The Health workers at Upshi check post screened 103 passengers yesterday including drivers and helpers who came to Leh in 62 tankers and 16 trucks and 02 light vehicles.
