New Delhi: A doctor, a nurse and one staff in support duty have tested positive in New Delhi's Max Hospital. However, the doctor has in all probability acquired the infection from outside the hospital, said the hospital's spokesperson.

In a separate statement the hospital had said that thirty nine healthcare workers have been sent in quarantine, after they came into contact with two heart patients who later tested positive for Covid-19 virus. They are kept in a separate and isolated wing at Max Hospital, Saket.

Two patients admitted at the hospital for cardiac treatment tested positive for COVID 19 a few days ago.

According to the official sources these thirty-nine people also including the ward boys came in contact with two patients who were admitted at the hospital for heart-related procedures, but later tested positive for coronavirus.

For now, all the thirty-nine individuals are asymptomatic and will be tested on the 5th day of exposure, on 14th April.

There are 154 employees deployed in shifts in the COVID ward of Max Hospital, Saket. None of these employees has had any exposure to the virus.
