According to reports, Coronil and Swasari Vati have been developed after clinical trials and according to the company, it is the first evidence-based Ayurvedic medicine. During the conference, Ramdev claimed that 100 percent of Covid 19 patients were cured within 7 days with the medicines.
"We conducted a clinical case study and controlled trial and found that 69 percent of patients recovered in 3 days and by 7 days it was 100 percent of patients," said Ramdev during the launch of the medicine.
He also talked about the composition of the medicine and said that they have used several minerals to develop both the medicines.
"There are more than 100 active compounds that have been used in Coronil and Swasari Vati. It also contains phytochemicals and phytometabolites, "said Ramdev during the launch.
Co-founder Acharya Balkrishna had also tweeted about the launch and said that the drug will be accompanied by a scientific document. According to the company they have conducted ‘randomized placebo-controlled clinical trials’ and during the conference, they will reveal the outcome of the test.
Earlier this month, Patanjali Ayurved had claimed that it has found a cure for COVID-19. The company which was started by yoga guru Ramdev said that the medicine developed by them had shown a success rate of 80 percent.
" We gave medicine for prevention and it was evidence-based. Several corona patients tested negative they were administered our medicine We have collected clinical data of its effect on patients from different age groups. We are now going to conduct controlled clinical trials, " said Acharya Balkrishna, Patanjali.

At present, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare data, India has recorded a total of 4,40,215 lakhs cases. Globally, India falls in the list of top 5 countries with the highest number of cases and is the fourth-worst affected country in the world after Russia with 5,91,465 total cases. Apart from Patanjali, three other drugs were launched by Indian pharma companies for emergency care of Covid-19 patients. On Saturday Glenmark Pharmaceuticals launched the antiviral drug Favipiravir under the name Fabiflu, and it was followed by the launch of the anti-viral drug remdesivir by pharma companies Cipla and Hetero under the brand name Cipremi and Covifor respectively.
