New Delhi:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is generally known to be working long hours and utilizing almost every minute of the day shared a picture of how he was using his time on the long flight to the US.


Ahead of the hectic itinerary which includes meetings with top global CEOs, his Australian and Japanese counterparts, meeting with US President and Vice President, PM Modi took to social media and shared a picture where he could be seen going through his work flights during his long flight to America to attend the UNGA and QUAD Summit.


A long flight also means opportunities to go through papers and some file work," the Prime Minister tweeted, posting a photo of himself at work.



While netizens called him a workaholic and appreciated his dedication to work, the Indian National Congress took a dig at the Prime Minister and shared a picture of Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh holding press conferences during his tenure.


Opposition party Congress captioned the image "Some photographs are harder to copy."



Several BJP leaders shared the Prime Minister's tweet.


"Always in the service of the country without stopping, tirelessly," Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, replied to the tweet, using #SevaSamarpan.


BJP leader Kapil Mishra used a picture of former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri - where he is seen reading files while onboard a flight - along with PM Modi's, as he praised the two leaders for their commitment towards their work.



PM Modi will begin his first day with one-on-one meetings with CEOs of five American companies including Apple CEO Tim Cook. Prime Minister Modi will also hold bilateral meetings with Australia Prime Minister Morrison and Japan Prime Minister Suga and take stock of the strong bilateral relations.


Later on the day, PM Modi will meet the US Vice President Kamala Harris and this will be the first meeting between the two leaders. Harris had earlier spoken with Modi over the phone in June during the COVID-19 crisis.
