Congress had shared a collection of pictures of its president Rahul Gandhi standing in front of a graffiti wall in Germany’s Bundestag, which however, became a fodder for memes on the micro blogging website and even BJP retweeted those pictures.
The Congress president is on a two-day tour to Germany, as part of his party’s NRI outreach programme ahead of the upcoming general elections. His speech at the Bucerius Summer School in Hamburg, where he cited an ISIS example to link spate of lynching incidents to joblessness in the country, was slammed by BJP. However, his pictures from the tour did amuse the ruling party and as it said “it couldn’t resist sharing them”.
Congress' official Twitter handle wrote ‘The many facets of Rahul Gandhi’. This soon turned into a meme and then BJP too jumped in and retweeted the photograph just with a caption “Even we couldn't resist retweeting this ;), leaving people wondering.
BJP retweeted the pictures of Congress president.
Minutes after Congress shared the images, they went viral and were soon converted into memes.
