'Khule Mann Aur Band Muh...': Jairam Ramesh On I.N.D.I.A Bloc's Seat-Sharing Plans For 2024 Polls

Jairam Ramesh said that Congress will deal with the issue of seat-sharing with I.N.D.I.A parties with an open heart.

Congress MP and General Secretary in-charge Communications, Jairam Ramesh has said that all the parties in the I.N.D.I.A coalition will take forward the talks on seat-sharing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, adding that Congress will discuss it with "Khule mann aur band much (open hearts and fewer talks)". He said the party will take out a mega rally on Dec 28 with the name 'Hai Tayyar Hum' to blow the conch for the upcoming general elections.

"...'Khule mann aur band muh se hi hum seat sharing pe baat aage chalaenge'..." he said on being asked about seat sharing in the I.N.D.I. alliance.

"...There will be a mega rally in Nagpur on 28th December with the name 'Hai Tayyar Hum'. Congress will blow the conch for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 during the rally. Party president Mallikarjun Kharge and MP Rahul Gandhi clearly stated that we are ready for seat sharing and want the INDIA alliance to be united and strong. Congress will do everything possible to win..." the Congress MP added.

 

'Priyanka Gandhi Will Have Major Role In 2024 As Well'

Talking about party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi being replaced as the AICC in-charge of Uttar Pradesh Congress, Ramesh said that she is the general secretary of AICC and has had a major role in party's election campaigns in five states that went to polls recently

"Priyanka Gandhi is the general secretary of AICC and she has had a major role in our election campaigns in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. I am sure that she will have the same role in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as well..." he said.

In a major organisational rejig, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was relieved from the post of AICC in-charge of UP Congress, and Avinash Pande has been given the opportunity to take the party's campaign in the state for Lok Sabha elections.

Sachin Pilot was been appointed as the All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary of Chhattisgarh while Congress leader Deepa Dasmunsi was appointed as the General Secretary of Kerala and Lakshadweep and given additional charge of Telangana Congress, Congress leader GA Mir was named the General Secretary of Jharkhand and given addition charge of West Bengal.
