Congress Candidate & Actress Archana Gautam Urges People To 'Not Merge' Two Professions As Her Bikini Pics Go Viral

Winner of the Miss Uttar Pradesh title in 2018, Archana made her acting debut in Bollywood with the film 'Great Grand Masti' in 2015.

New Delhi: Archana Gautam, actress and winner of various beauty pageants, is all set to begin her political innings as she will be contesting the upcoming UP assembly polls as a Congress candidate from Meerut's Hastinapur seat. Archana joined the Congress party in 2021.

Winner of the Miss Uttar Pradesh title in 2018, Archana made her acting debut in Bollywood with the film 'Great Grand Masti' in 2015. She has also won the title of Miss Bikini India 2018 and represented India at Miss Cosmos World 2018 where she also won the Most Talent 2018 title.

Soon after Archana's name was announced as one of the 125 candidates for the UP polls, pictures of the actress clad in a bikini started getting viral on social media. Reacting to this in an interview to ANI, Archana said that people should not mix her profession in the media industry with her political career.

She said: "I represented India in Miss Bikini 2018. I was Miss Uttar Pradesh 2014 and Miss Cosmo World 2018. I request people to not merge my profession in the media industry with my political career."

Archana has been a part of films like 'Haseena Parker' and 'Baaraat Company'. She has also featured in a couple of music videos — 'Dynamite', 'Nasha Zyaada' and a Punjabi song 'Buggu Oye', to name a few.

She has also worked in a couple of Tamil and Telugu films.
