New Delhi: The price of per unit Commercial LPG Cylinder  is slashed by Rs 115.50 with immediate effect. Notably, this is the seventh cut in the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder unit since June. The reduction in prices came in line with declining international energy prices.


The cut in the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has brought down its price to Rs 1,744 in Delhi from Rs 1,859.50 per cylinder. In Mumbai, one unit of the 19 kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,696 whereas in Kolkata it will cost Rs 1,846 and Rs 1,893 in Chennai. OMCs usually announce the changes in LPG prices at the beginning and middle of each month.


The prices of commercial LPG cylinders have come down by Rs 610 per 19 kg cylinder since June. On October 1, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were reduced. Last month OMCs cut the price per unit 19 kg cylinder by Rs 25.50. Commercial LPG rates, on the other hand, have been mainly aligned with cost and so they often move in tandem with the rise and fall in international prices.


However, there is no change in the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder, which now cost Rs 1,053, according to the price notification from state-owned fuel retailers.  On July 6, prices of domestic liquid petroleum gas cylinders weighing 14.2 kgs were raised by Rs 50 per unit. Previously, the prices for domestic cylinders were revised on May 19, 2022.


In Delhi, it currently sells at Rs 1,053 per unit. As far as Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai are concerned, it sell at Rs 1,079, Rs 1,052.5, and Rs 1,068.5, respectively. The prices of LPG cylinders differ from state to state depending on the local VAT.
