New Delhi: A day after Supreme Court deferred the hearing for the disputed Ayodhya case, and listed it for hearing in January; Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday urged the apex court to fast track the proceedings in the case.


Speaking exclusively to ABP News, Yogi said “SC should fast track proceedings as justice delayed is justice denied”.

Speaking on the demand of ordinance, He further said that “we respect Supreme Court and its decisions” and declared that “government cannot bring an ordinance on Ram Mandir right now”.

Speaking on the issue the CM said that Ram Mandir issue is connected to several sentiments and therefore a decision should be taken soon.

RSS urges construction of temple:

The RSS on Monday said Ram temple should be constructed "immediately" in Ayodhya at the disputed site believed to the birthplace of Lord Rama, where Babri Masjid once stood.

While RSS spokesperson Arun Kumar said the court should deliver an early verdict and the government should make a law to remove hurdles in the way of giving land for a temple if required, the Sangh's affiliate VHP was more blunt, saying Hindus cannot wait eternally for judicial verdict as it pushed for a legislation.

"With this in view, the Supreme Court should make an early decision and if there are any difficulties, the government should make a law to remove all hurdles in the way of giving land for temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site," Kumar said.
