The Chief Justice Of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud along with his colleagues in the Supreme Court on Sunday paid homage to Dr BR Ambedkar on the occasion of his Birth Anniversary and said that this is a very special day for all of us as it is the birthday of Dr BR Ambedkar, who was the architect of our Indian Constitution. The Chief Justice of Singapore  Sundaresh Menon along with his colleagues were also present on the occasion to pay their tributes to Baba Saheb Ambedkar.   


 “This is a very special day for all of us. Today is the birth anniversary of Dr Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of our Constitution and who brought about a complete social transformation. His message is as valid today, as it was when he was drafting the Indian Constitution,” CJI DY Chandrachud said.






The CJI further welcomed the Chief Justice of Singapore, Justice Sundaresh Menon and his colleagues from the Supreme Courts and High Courts who were present in the Supreme Court of India to pay homage to Dr Ambedkar. The CJI said that messages of Baba Saheb Ambedkar continues to be as valid today as it was at the time of drafting the Indian Constitution.






Every year, India celebrates Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, on the occasion of Dr BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary.
