Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan shared an emotional moment during his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. 


The Lok Sabha MP had the meeting on the occasion of Diwali where he presented a bouquet to PM Modi and wished him a Happy Diwali. The Hajipur MP's entire family was present with him on the occasion. 


Chirag shared the photos of the meeting on his X handle and wrote: "Today's meeting with the Prime Minister was an emotional moment when he said - "Chirag, you are also carrying forward the tradition of Ram Vilas Bhai, he too used to wish me and my family on Diwali."


"This statement of the Prime Minister has significance for me because he has always given me love and affection like a father," he added. 






Notably, a day after the meeting, the LJP MP was greeted by Modi on his birthday. Modi lauded him for his work and mentioned his popularity among the youth. 


"Greetings to Union Minister Shri Chirag Paswan Ji on his birthday. He is working tirelessly to make India a hub for food processing. He is also widely popular among the youth. May he lead a long and healthy life," Modi said in a post on X. 


Chirag thanked Modi for "affectionate wishes". 


"Respected Prime Minister, I thank you for your affectionate wishes," he said. 


"Under your successful leadership, we are all determined to walk hand in hand with you to realize the resolution of a "developed India" and for the inclusive development of the youth," he added.
