Union Minister Chirag Paswan and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut shared a candid moment at the Parliament stairs before arriving for the Speaker's election on Wednesday.


A video of the two leaders shows them sharing a light moment greeting each other with a 'low five' this morning. The actor-turned-MPs met outside Parliament today ahead of the Speaker's selection. 






Chirag Paswan won the Lok Sabha election from Hajipur while Kangana Ranaut won from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency.

The two actors-turned-politician had starred in a 2011 movie, Miley Naa Miley Hum. However, many years later the two colleagues again met, but this time in the Parliament. 


Kangana Ranaut is making her debut as a Member of Parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha. Meanwhile, Ranaut's latest movie 'Emergency' is set to hit the screens on September 6. The release of the film has been delayed multiple times, it was previously scheduled to be released on November 24, 2023.

In an X post, Ranaut said she was announcing the release of her movie "Emergency" to mark the "beginning of the 50th year of independent India's darkest chapter."


On the other hand, Chirag Paswan went on to take his father Ram Vilas Paswan's legacy against his uncle Pashupati Paras by winning all five seats LJP (Ram Vilas) contested in Bihar. In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Chirag is now the third most important ally after TDP and JD(U) for BJP in the NDA fold.  


Chirag Paswan was also allotted the charge of Ministry of Food Processing on June 10, a day after the LJP (Ram Vilas) chief took oath as a minister in the Modi 3.0 government.
