Raipur: Bharitya Janta Party's Chhattisgarh Vice President Lata Usendi claims that the reception video which has been going viral is from Kondagaon MLA & state Congress chief Mohan Markam's nephew's wedding. 


She alleged that he was present at the wedding too.

The shocking undated clip, which shows 100-150 people dancing, was shared by BJP leader Lata Usendi on May 7th before which there was clip of a wedding invitation card. While sharing the video, Usendi claimed the video was of the May 5th wedding of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee president Mohan Markam’s nephew. "The MLA was also present there," added Usendi. 


However, Mohan Markam has denied these allegations and said that 'it is not right to call everyone his nephew'. 


 






On April 28th, Kondagaon Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena had issued an order, banning wedding ceremonies in the district till May 5th. Permission granted earlier for weddings during the lockdown period was also cancelled. Later, on May 9th, the Chhattisgarh government ordered that just 10 persons will be permitted to attend weddings and funerals in the state to put an effective check on the spread of the new variant of COVID-19. All kinds of social, political, religious, and other programmes will continue to remain banned in the state.


According to official data, Chhattisgarh's Covid-19 count on Sunday was 9,120 cases whereas the death toll stands at 10,570.
