After demonetisation, like everywhere, in Varanasi also can be seen serpentine queues outside the banks with the common man waiting for their cash.
One such customer of the Central Bank of India's branch here in the city is Shiva Kumari Mishra (96) who is a pensioner.
Because of her age, she can't stand in the long queue of the bank and without her going there she can't withdraw her pension money, so the bank has come to her!
Yes, the manager of the bank Prabhakar Acharya came to her home to hand over her pension after the relatives informed the institute about their problem.
"When I informed the manager about our problem, he himself came to our home to hand over the pension", said Promod Mishra, son of Shiva Kumari Mishra.
All the documentation was done in the home by the branch manager.
"We are very happy that we are able to help an old-aged woman and in return received her blessings," said Prabhakar Acharya.
It is pertinent to mention here that demonetisation has not only troubled common man but also increased the work burden on the bank employees. Despite all this, a manager of a bank coming to the home of its customer to handover money is worth appreciating.
