Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on Saturday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 100th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann ki Baat. Gates tweeted and said that the regular broadcast has catalysed community-led action on sanitation health, women’s economic empowerment and other issues linked to the Sustainable Development Goals. Notably, the tweet comes a day before PM Modi's 100th 'Mann Ki Baat'.

Rs 100 Coin On 100th Episode


Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is set tp complete its 100th episode this Sunday, on April 30. The Centre is oragnisaing various events starting from Wednesday with National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat. To mark the 100 editions of the programme, the Centre will also release a Rs 100 coin. The coin is said to be different from the normal coins in practice. 


The Rs 100 coin which will be released to mark the 100 successful episodes of PM Modi’s monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’ will feature a microphone and the year ‘2023’ on it. As per the notification issued by the government, only one hundred rupees coin will be minted. The coin will have a diametre of 44 mm. It will be made of four metals - 50 per cent silver, 40 per cent copper, 5 per cent nickel, and 5 per cent zinc.  


The government said that the front of the coin will have Ashoka Pillar and ‘Satyamev Jayate’ will be written below it. ‘Bharat’ will be inscribed in Devnagari on the left side while INDIA in English will be written on the right side. The coin will also have the ₹ symbol along with ‘100’ engraved on it.  


There will also be a symbol of the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, in which there will be a picture of a microphone with sound waves. 'Mann Ki Baat 100' will be written in Hindi and English. The total weight of the coin will be 35 grams
