Bulandshahr: The police on Thursday arrested the main accused in Bulandshahr violence which erupted on December 2-3, claiming the life of a civilian and a police Inspector-Subodh Kumar Singh. The main accused Yogesh Raj is a Bajrang Dal leader. The cops nabbed him late on Wednesday night, who had been at large since the violence took place.


As per the police, he has been arrested from Bulandshahr’s Khusbha, and is a District coordinator for Bajrang Dal. The police are currently probing him and seeking details out of him. He will later in the day presented before the court.

As per the police, Yogesh has been arrested from area close to Bhramananda College. The cops nabbed him at 11:30pm.

The cops had earlier arrested one of the murderers of Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh on Tuesday. The accused has been arrested for attacking Inspector Singh with an axe. The cops are currently questioning the accused. After being attacked with an axe, he was later shot dead by Prashant Nat, who is currently in police custody.

Yogesh Raj was made a prime accused in the case pertaining to creating violence and torching vehicles. Besides Yogesh Raj, Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morch chief Shikhar Aggrawal is also an accused in the case. Shikhar Aggrawal is also currently at large. He recently released a video on social media and pled not-guilty.
