Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh): In the latest development in Bulandshahr double murder case, it has come to light that the killings of two sisters took place as a result of one sided love.


The two cousin sisters were burnt to death while the entire family was in Delhi to shop for their brother’s forthcoming wedding. Their brother’s wedding was scheduled to take place on February 18.

The deceased

The dead bodies of both sisters were found burnt. Sheelu’s neck had car clutch wire tied to it, which hinted at murder.

The cops had initiated the probe to find out who was behind the murder and probed it from all angles.

The accused has been identified as Pushkar alias Ankit who is a B-Tech engineer by profession and recently returned from Dubai. He has been constantly persuading Sheelu to marry her.

Describing about the heinous crime, city SSP Muniraj, addressed a press conference in which he said that Pushkar alias Ankit had visited Sheelu’s house where both had a heated argument. The accused then in a fit of rage went out and pulled out the clutch wire from his motorcycle to strangulate Sheelu. He then applied the same method to kill Shivani as well. Ankit also took out petrol from his bike to set ablaze the two bodies.

When asked why Shivani in the other room could not hear cries of Sheelu, Muniraj said Shivani had plugged earphones and was watching TV in the other room. The room in which Sheelu was killed was kept closed.

SSP said Pushkar has confessed to the crime.
